Every year, Kirstenbosch Gardens hosts the famous Galileo Open Air Cinema. Screenings of classic Christmas movies can be seen throughout the holiday season until April 2018.Tickets can be purchased at thegalileo.co.za include a picnic blanket, sweet treats, and a backrest.  You can bring your own picnic or get food from the venue. There are burgers, pizza, burritos, as well as plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The screenings start at 8 30 pm, while the gates open at 5 pm.

2 Piano Bar

Located on the streets of De Waterkant, the Piano bar is a nice restaurant with live music performances that is open on both Boxing Day and Christmas day. Travelers who are searching for a place to have a Christmas meal will be happy to hear that Piano Bar offers a three-course meal which includes two starters and one main dish. This year, the starters will be avocado tartare and salmon. Visitors will be able to choose from 2 main dishes including line and fish fillet.

If you are hoping to find a relaxing activity this Christmas in Cape Town, the Om Revolution team has prepared an amazing event this Christmas. Established in 2014, Om Revolution is a yoga mobile studio that offers a Christmas Eve sunset yoga class on Clifton’s 3rd Beach. V&A Waterfront’s Cape Town Comedy Club is one of the best comedy clubs in the world and offers awesome music performances, delicious food, and top-notch comedians. Tickets for their annual New Year’s event cost R1500/p and include a 4-course meal, welcome drink, wine-paring, and a glass of champagne. The show begins at 7 pm.

5 Christmas Lunch at Shimmy Beach Club

Offering amazing sea views, Shimmy Beach Club hosts the annual Christmas lunch this year and is definitely a great place to spend Christmas in Cape Town. Expect a nice holiday buffet including dim sum and sushi on the starter menu, as well as a great selection of main dishes like roast lamb and biltong-encrusted kudu. The desserts are usually delicious here at Shimmy Beach Club and this Christmas crème brûlée, Lindt chocolate mousse, and traditional Christmas pudding will be served to guests. If you are visiting with kids, there is a playground area right next to the restaurant. The lunch buffet starts at 12 pm on 25th of December.

Christmas lunch here at Balducci will be served as a three-course set menu.  A choice between caprese salad, shrimp cocktail, and oysters is available for starters, while turkey roast platter or a seafood platter is served as a main dish. For dessert, you can choose between a cheese board, fruity pavlova, and a traditional Christmas pudding.
