On weekdays from 5pm to 6pm, you will find a variety of cocktails for just R27, as well as a nice selection of bottled beers. Make sure to try the amazing Rocking Chair and the White Russian. 3 Cafe Mojito

Located in the city center, Cafe Mojito is an ideal place to escape from the heat and features an island-style bar that offers amazing cocktails. This Long Street joint is also famous for its happy hour that lasts daily from 4pm to 7 pm. Wallet-friendly refreshing drinks can be found on the menu and sometimes there are even live music performances. What makes Café Mojito stand out from other bars is that this tropical bar also runs a late-night happy hour from 11 pm to midnight. House cocktails cost R29, while whiskey, brandy, and gym go for R25.

 

4 Rick’s Café Américain

The Forex Bar is a place where expats, tourists, and locals mix. This Cape Town joint is also famous for its beer pong tournaments and runs a happy hour daily from 5 pm – 7 pm. All of their delicious cocktails are around R30, with the exceptions of Long Iceland ice teas that are around R 35. You will also find a nice selection of craft beers on the menu that cost between R30 and R 35. The Forex Bar is a go-to bar for holidays like Bastille Day and Saint Patrick’s Day.
