1 Big 5 Comedy Show (October 13)

Cape Town’s Grand Arena is hosting the magnificent Big 5 Comedy Show this Saturday. Some of the most popular South African stand-up comedians including Stuart Taylor, Jason Goliath, Tumi Morake, Joey Rasdien and John Vlismas are scheduled to perform. All five of them have impressive resumes. Some are starring in movies, while others are hosting TV shows. To keep you entertained after the show, DJ Ready D will be spinning some groovy records. The tickets for this event cost between R180 and R 300.

2 African Hip Hop Indaba (October 12-13)

The 19th edition of the African Hip Hop Indaba is definitely one of the must-visit events in Cape Town this weekend. Many artists from the South African Hip Hop Industry have participated in this event in the last couple of years. 3 The Gun Run (October 14)

One of the most popular races in Cape Town that caters to all fitness levels, The Gun Run is scheduled for this Sunday and features 5km, 10km, and 21km routes. In case you opt for the 21 km marathon, you’ll have a chance to run along all the way from the Waterfront through Sea Point, Bantry Bay, and Clifton. After the race, you can try delicious dishes from one of the many food stalls that are located around the finish venue.

4 The Alphen Antiques and Collectables Market (October 14)

Head out to the Schoenstatt Retreat and Conference Centre this Sunday to check out the oldest and largest bi-monthly antiques and collectibles market in Cape Town. Expect to find everything from antique items like silver, watches, medals, and coins to books, small furnishings, and vintage décor. 5 Sunday Lunch at NH Lord Charles Hotel (October 14)
