July 2013 Events in Cape Town

july events in cape town

July in Cape Town is never short of surprises. You could easily enjoy a week of glorious sunshine, which is suddenly broken by thunderclouds rolling in to bring some rain. School holidays are almost coming to an end, parents are counting the days til calm resides yet again and that all-important winter equinox has happened.

While the weather is always unpredictable, we can at least be sure of one thing – there is plenty to do in Cape Town this month… for kids, adults and adults who prefer to be kids.

Notable Cape Town July Events

This month, you can take your pick from an array of cool happenings across the city. There is comedy for those in need of a good laugh, kid’s shows for parents in need of a break, dance and theatre for the folk seeking a cultural lift and then loads of other interesting things also on the Cape Town June calendar.

All info is correct at the time of going to press – I’ve squashed everything I could find into the list too, so hopefully nothing good was missed!

– WWE Live World Tour, Goodwood – 30 July – 3 August

Naturally, I was instantly lured by the idea of a Factory Shop Expo (I do so love factory shopping after all). I have also added the Chester Missing road tour to my possible ‘to dos’ this month. But after watching a recent AfrikaAblaze production not too long ago, I am most keen to check out Break. The reviews say that it’s a historical journey into hip hop dance through apartheid and other eras – it looks very good indeed.

Anyway, that’s all from me in the way of events (for now anyway). Got any additions to the list that I have somehow missed? Send ‘em over in the comments and let me know…
