One&Only Cape Town Hotel appoints Resort Manager

Mr Tony Romer-Lee has been appointed as Resort Manager for the newly opened One&Only Cape Town. In his role, Tony will oversee all operations and will report directly to the resort’s General Manager Gérard Sintès.

Romer-Lee, with 17 years experience in South African luxury hotels, joins One&Only’s newest resort after almost three years as Senior General Manager at Singita’s 5 Lodges in the Sabi Sand and Kruger National Park Game Reserves.

He began his foray into the industry at Thames Valley University in the United Kingdom where he studied hospitality and after moving to South Africa, spent five years as General Manager of the Cape Grace in
Cape Town.

One&Only Cape Town is the brand’s first urban resort. With its bold, contemporary design, the venture promises to transform the city’s waterfront, marking the homecoming of Sol Kerzner to South Africa where he started his visionary career in hospitality.

The hotel features 131 keys – some of the most spacious rooms in Cape Town – with captivating views of Table Mountain, and is home to Africa’s first Nobu restaurant by Nobuyuki ‘Nobu’ Matsuhisa as well as maze restaurant by Gordon Ramsay. It also features an exclusive Spa Island – a haven of serenity which offers the most expansive and comprehensive spa in Cape Town.
