Baz Bus in Cape Town: The Best Way to See Cape Peninsula

Created by Barry Zeidel back in 1995, Baz Bus is South Africa’s most convenient hop-on-hop-off bus service and the best way to explore the country. During his travels around Europe as a backpacker, Barry was fascinated with the bus services for backpackers that allow easy access to various destinations. After he came back to Africa from his trip around Europe, he decided to do some research and start his own bus service for travelers who wish to explore South Africa at their own pace.

Baz Bus operates between Johannesburg and Cape Town and stops in more than 40 towns and villages along the way. It also stops in front of over 180 hostels, making it a safe ride for backpackers who come to visit South Africa. Baz Bus sees over 10 000 travelers each year, making it one of the most popular options for getting around South Africa as a backpacker or an adventurous traveler. Whether you wish to visit places like Stellenbosch, Knysna, Natures Valley, and Plettenberg Bay or want to explore the streets of Durban, Storms River, Jeffreys Bay, and Chintsa, Baz Bus stops in all of these destinations. By using Baz Bus, you will also have an opportunity to meet many fellow travelers along the way.

In Cape Town, this fabulous bus service offers various tours including free daily city walking tours and free Table Mountain Guided Tours. However, the most popular Baz Bus tour in Cape Town is the Cape Peninsula Full Day Tour that includes a wide range of activities such as cycling in the nature reserve, visiting the penguin’s colony on Boulders Beach, a cruise to the Seal Island, and much more.
