On Friday 1 June 2018, the popular singer-songwriter from Johannesburg Werner Bekker will be performing at the Obviouzly Armchair Backpackers and Pub on Lower Main Road in Cape Town. This talented guitarists with an extensive repertoire and years of experience decided that its time he visits Cape Town and play a few shows here during his mini tour. 2. Mommy & Me Expo 2018

If you are staying in Cape Town with kids, check out the Mommy & Me Expo 2018 from 1 to 3 June at Venue D’Aria in Durbanville.There will be entertainment for the kids including face painting, photo booth station, the Bob Boppers, Nadine Blom, Regard Laubscher from Master Magic, and Bennie Boekwurm and Haas Das readings, as well as a play area by BiemBie Toys and tasty wine and food by Venue D’Aria. Celebrating its 20th anniversary from 30 May to 2 June 2018, the Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival is definitely one best things to do in Cape Town this weekend. The line-up for 1 June includes names like Wynberg Boys’ Junior School Big Band, Uni-Sound Big Band, Wynberg Boys’ High School Jazz  Band, Edujazz Big Band, Westerford High School Big Band, Uct Big Band, while on June 2 artists such as The Little Giants, Bergvliet High School  Big Band, Heathfield High School Jazz Band, Beau Soleil Music Centre, Wynberg Girls’ High School Big will be performing. The festival takes places at the popular Baxter Concert Hall and tickets cost R120 for adults and R70 for students, scholars, and seniors.

6. Paws Thru The Vine ’18

If you’ve got love for furry friends, this event is for you. For this year’s Paws Thru the Vine, AACL is holding the walk this Sunday, 3rd of June at Spier Wine Farm in Stellenbosch. There will be two trails available for walkers – 5km and 10km walk. You can enjoy a family’s day out here, there will be lots of exciting stalls, kids corner with a face painter and a lot of exciting prizes to win. If you would love to adopt a dog, you should be on the lookout for the adoption show at the walk. After the walk, you can take your woof to the physiotherapist for a massage.
