1 Bugz Playpark

From the popular Animal Farm with beautiful tree houses to peddle carts and choo-choo trains, there is something for everyone here at Bugz Playpark in Kraaifontein. Some of the most popular attractions include sand pits, horse rides, playhouses, and sand pits. In case you get hungry, you can have lunch at one of the nearby tuck shops and restaurants. Monster Burgers offer delicious waffles and milkshakes, while farmer’s breakfast is also available. The entrance to the park costs between R35 and R60.

2 ROOT44 Market

Located in Stellenbosch, ROOT44 Market is just a 45-minute drive from the center of Cape Town. The market is open only on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm and offers a number of local crafts, food stalls, and live music performances. Take your kids here to enjoy spectacular views of the Stellenbosch wine country and check out leather goods, kid’s clothing, and jewelry on sale. This cool market also has a nice lawn area where kids can play.

3 Squirrel Golf

There are a number of children-friendly activities near Cape Town, but Squirrel Golf at the Devonvale estate in Stellenbosch is one of the most popular adventures for kids. Spend a Sunday afternoon playing golf with the little ones for just R30 for a six-hole game. Your kid will receive a certificate at the end of the Squirrel Golf game.

4 Cool Runnings

Located in Durbanville, Cold Runnings is the first tobogganing track in South Africa that attracts hundreds of families with children on the weekends. The track is 1.2 kilometers long and a single ride for children under 14 will cost you just R40. Children under the age of 8 must ride with their parents and the track is open from 9 am to 6 pm on the weekends. The rides are safe for children, as the speed of the bob-sled is brake-controlled.

5 The Duck Parade
