Kia Ora

Kia Ora’s décor style is unpretentious yet luxurious and is furnished throughout in layers of cool whites and creams, the perfect contrast to the sparkling azure waters that shimmer beyond. With two separate kitchens and entertaining areas, and three different levels for added privacy, this beautiful beach house suits up to five couples or two families travelling together with children. The self-contained area on the ground floor is ideal for an au-pair.

Glen Beach is adjacent to the well-loved stretch of beach and palm trees of Camps Bay, but has remained a secret largely because of the large granite boulders that separate it. Kia Ora has the best of both worlds – the convenience of Glen Beach with the lively hub of restaurants and cafes in Camps Bay just a short walking distance away. Cape Town city centre is 15 minutes away.

ACCOMODATION

Top floor – This is a large light-filled, airy living space with spectacular views of the sea. The open-plan, fully equipped kitchen leads into living and dining areas that open up onto to the deck where relaxed, comfy sofas add a spectacular outdoor living area. Perfect for entertaining.

Middle floor – Stairs lead to a private living space, comprising 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 of them en suite). The main bedroom has its own living area and opens onto another deck facing the beach. The en-suite bathroom features a Jacuzzi bath, and a separate shower and dressing room.

The second en-suite bedroom also has a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and shower. Bedroom 3 is furnished with 2 singles that can be turned into a king- size bed. Bedroom 4 has a standard double bed. Bedrooms 3 and 4 share a bathroom with a shower.

Ground floor – This may be a self-contained area or link to the rest of the beach house. It has direct access to the private pool from its living area and off the bedroom. The living area also has good flow with the fully equipped kitchen leading directly to the dining area and lounge. The bedroom is en-suite with a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower in the bathroom. This floor also has a separate laundry room with washer/dryer.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES

Two generous decks take full advantage of the sea views and the ground floor plunge pool area adds an extra element of privacy. Equipped with an outdoor gas barbeque and a covered day bed near the pool, this Moroccan-inspired garden area provides wind free al-fresco eating.

Beach access is via a side path from this outdoor area. Guests may also use a convenient private hot/cold outdoor shower on their return from the beach.

One garage and one secure parking bay are available. Optional services include extras such as chef, masseuse, personal trainer and a babysitter.
